I got a new gig at the beginning of 2016 that allows me to work with cool brands like Fauxgerty. A project taking off as I started was conceptualizing, planning and executing NYFW events for local cruelty-free outerwear brand Fauxgerty. If you’re a follower, you know I’ve done a write up on them before and am a BIG fan! So you can imagine my excitement when I was assigned to this project.
We know how miserably cold fashion week can get so we decided on two events that lessened that factor- Fauxgerty HOT Lounge and HOTBOX After Party.
The HOT Lounge was hosted by Lara Eurdolian of Pretty Connected and modest fashion influencer Summer Albarcha, followed by the HOTBOX After Party, hosted by Keiko Lynn Groves. Guests were able to view and try out the line. Attendees also enjoyed music by DJ TrashTalk, tarot readings by Crimson Kitty, henna by Mehndi NYC, a hot bar featuring miso, tea, sake and a variety of gifts including custom made chocolate by Bissinger’s Handcrafted Chocolatier and Fauxgerty HERBivore and PLANT KILLER sweatshirts.
Notable guests included stylist Stacy London, bloggers Keiko Lynn Groves, Rachel Iwanyszyn of Jag Lever, Bianca Jade of MizzFit, Lara Eurdolian of Pretty Connected, Summer Albarcha, Christine Cameron of My Style Pill, Ella Mell of Project Runway, Sarah Stallmann of ALIVE Magazine (Fashion Editor), Debra Bass of St. Louis Post-Dispatch (Fashion Editor), Steve Sanders of The Daily News, models Jennie Runk, Georgina Burke and Alanna Arrington (Fauxgerty’s own product model, who closed the Diane Von Furstenberg show with Kendall and Gigi this season) and Jeff and Mary Clarke of Mother Model Management.
The team worked super hard to put on such a production and it paid off. The lounge and after party were killer! We can’t wait to do it again. See you in September.
