This Saturday, November 8th ALIVE Magazine will host the much anticipated affair- Well Crafted, a carefully curated experience for the refined St. Louisan. A multitude of fine events from discussions on style, food, active living and craft goods to bourbon tastings will take place in the Power Plant Building. That’s not all. A shopping experience including some Weird Cult(ure) favorites, who focus on well crafted goods, will take place as well.
Having never been to the Power Plant Building myself, the thought of Saturday brings me much excitement. The building is home to Climb So Ill, Element and The Machine Hall while neighboring Butler’s Pantry and The Palladium in Lafayette Square.
Music and shopping will take place most of the night in the Machine Hall while three stages will host discussions. The Strange Donuts stage will host talks on small businesses, start-ups and collaboration in the food scene. The Element stage offers a Celebrate STL Buffet Dinner featuring Element and Guerrilla Street Food for only $15 (depending on what ticket you purchase) plus a whole pig discussion. The Knob Creek stage will hold a bourbon tasting from Knob Creek and Maker’s Mark paired with appetizers from Element and discussions on cocktails, the St. Louis beverage scene and public media.
Climb So Ill will offer free climbing, demonstrations and silent raffle auction to benefit The Beta Fund (winners announced at 9PM in The Machine Hall) throughout the night.
