That’s not all folks. The event Wednesday night will also feature a presentation comprised of five local “Designers to Watch.” Event attendees will select the designer that stands out the most and who will be going home with a $2,500 cash prize. Designers include Michael Drummond, Paulie Gibson, Nasheli Juliana, Trang Nguyen and Pink Elephant Designs. Presentation and voting is from 6:30pm to 7:30pm.
The event includes an interactive cocktail hour featuring a footwear display by Brown Shoe Company, a live display by the Regional Arts Commission, Sara’s Social Booth and BUTIK Market- be prepared to shop! Tess Boyer will be hosting the event while DJ Who and Big Brother Thunder & the Master Blasters will provide entertainment.
I’m beyond excited for this event for a couple reasons. Firstly, I saw Collina Strada’s presentation at New York Fashion Week and it was one of my favorites. Secondly, Harbison was also at New York Fashion Week and is a STLFW veteran so I can’t wait to see his collection along with the other big hitters in the line up. And lastly, I’ve recently made the decision to stay in St. Louis after contemplating moving elsewhere to take advantage of my opportunities here and with the Saint Louis Fashion Fund there can only become more.
VIP cocktail lounge starts at 6:30pm, GA Cocktail hour begins at 7pm, runway show starts at 8pm and the after party begins at 9pm. GA standing room tickets are still available along with after party tickets, but you might as well just get GA standing room ticket if you plan on going to both because the after party is included. I’ll be there early hanging out with the bloggers and staying until the party ends. Won’t you join me? Buy tickets here.
