NYFW Day Two, Part Six | Karolyn Pho by Robby Baker

“She always had that about her, that look of otherness, of eyes that see things much too far, and of thoughts that wander off the edge of the world.”

― Joanne Harris

While I was drooling at SKINGRAFT, friend and fellow fashion enthusiast, Robby Baker was experiencing the Karolyn Pho Spring/Summer 2015 collection. Due to the lack of time travel and impossibility of being in two places at once, I was unable to be at the show in person.

Karolyn Pho’s muse for this collection is a vagabond meandering through castles in the air, traipsing between realities and crossing borders unknown- a traveler, a nomad, lost within her self-perception. Below is Robby’s take on the collection and his top five favorite looks.

Karolyn Pho’s SS15 collection featured minimalist looks that bordered masculinity. Key colors included sky blue, white, orange, and green. Pho’s color inspiration was derived from midcentury architecture in Miami.  Pieces that stood out included sleeveless double-breasted dresses, oversized envelope bags, and white clogs.
