Thursday night I made my way to Shirt Kong to take part in Yelp’s Missouri Made event. Yelp is celebrating local businesses and products by taking you inside to meet the owners, try out their products and show you how they do what they do. Events run until Friday, June 27th. See the full list of events here.
Shirt Kong, local screen-printing company, held a T-Shirt Printing Party. They had a great spread in their inviting showroom, complete with Schlafly and cupcakes. Andy, SK owner, showed us around the shop, telling us about production and different products they can print and embroider on. After the tour we got to try it out for ourselves. As I waited in line, I got a chance to chat with other attendees and perfect my screen-printing technique. With the help of Andy, my shirt turned out great!
The SK group has been so great to me during my short blogging career; from inviting me to events like this to a simple retweet, it means the world to me. Along with being outstanding people, they make damn cool products. I know who my screen-printing people are. Do yourself a favor and check them out.
